I created this amazing art piece for my livingroom. I used the Salt Lake Temple Transfer
white chalkpaste and the large 4″ squeegee to complete this project.
First lay the transfer on your surface. I used a 24×36 Maggie Chalk Board. Smooth out the transfer so that you don’t have any bubbles in the screened areas.
Next, using the large squeegee, I spread the chalkpaste all over the transfer. After all the screens have been covered, I drag any excess chalkpaste off and put it back in the jar.
You want to work quickly when using chalkpaste. Once the transfer is covered, pull the transfer up off the chalkboard.
After the chalkpaste is dry, I added the add on pieces and the title to the temple. I also added some corners to the chalkboard.
For the Angel Moroni and the brass plate on the front of the temple, I used the Copper Ink. The ink once it sets is permanent. I don’t plan on switching this image out on this chalkboard so I didn’t mind.
I used white chalkpaste for the title at the bottom. For this I used a small squeegee.
On the corners I also used the copper ink. I think it really set off the board perfectly!

This project turned out so beautiful and I love how it looks. It really is a conversation piece for visitors when they walk into the room.
